Luxury Metal Prints: Textural Scorched Elegance

In the world of contemporary art, where innovation meets craftsmanship, something is captivating about an artist’s process of leaving ‘marks’. For me, that process involves the alchemy of transforming fabric through the delicate technique of scorching. This process involves the use of flame. It brings out organic textures, rich tones, and an unexpected dream-like beauty. This practice is at the heart of my work, which now extends into luxury metal prints, offering you the timeless appeal of textile art with cutting-edge technology.

The Art of Scorched Elegance

The art of scorched elegance

This detail represents the tension between destruction and beauty, where delicate fabrics are intentionally burned, singed, or melted to create raw, unpredictable textures.

For years, I have been refining a technique that combines traditional textile practices with a modern twist. I create compositions that range from ethereal, delicate shapes to bold, fluid forms using flame as a tool. The act of scorching fabric is a form of ‘controlled chaos’, where the fabric is coaxed into revealing its hidden textures and structures, creating an almost alchemical transformation. This subtle yet powerful alchemization of material excites me, and I enjoy witnessing the beauty that emerges from the controlled unpredictability of the process. These scorched pieces invite viewers to explore the delicate balance between destruction and creation, decay and beauty.

Transformed by flame

For me, each small scorched form is a fragment of a dream, shaped by fire and intuition. Each form carries the poetry of scorched elegance, an alchemical fusion of textile, heat, and emotion that invites close attention and contemplation.

From Textile Art to Metal Prints

While my textile installations have often been large-scale, designed to interact with their environment and become part of the space itself, the luxury metal prints offer a more intimate and focused experience. Through this medium, the textural beauty of the scorched fabric comes alive in striking, close-up compositions. The high-gloss finish of the metal print enhances every detail, bringing depth and dimension to each burn mark, crease, and fabric texture. The final result is a visually stunning piece of art that stands out as a statement on its own or as part of a collection.

These metal prints act as windows into the very soul of my work, capturing the texture and the alchemic process of the fabric as it transforms. It is as though you are peering into the heart of the material, discovering the raw beauty in each mark that was carefully, or sometimes unexpectedly, created.

A gentle distortion of reality right in your space.

Whether displayed in a private collection or as a feature piece in a high-end interior, these prints elevate any space, offering a tactile experience through their visual richness.

A New Frontier in Art

Luxury metal prints offer a new way to experience this tactile, textural quality in a compact and high-end form. By capturing the intricate details of my scorched fabric art, they allow a wider audience to experience the depth of my technique, showcasing every layer, burn, and curve in vivid color and texture. For collectors, interior designers, and art lovers, these prints offer a refined, modern take on my textile art, perfect for those seeking to elevate their space with something unique and luxurious.

Created through my experimental scorching technique, the abstract composition below, in glowing orange tones, reveals a mysterious being, its flowing arms spreading across the surface like whispers of movement. Though never planned, its form slowly emerged, part creature, part presence, illuminated from behind as if lit by an inner fire. Some may see an octopus, others something entirely different. That ambiguity is part of its power, inviting viewers to pause, feel, and discover their reflections within its shape.
