This series of digital photographs captures delicate, miniature textile sculptures illuminated from within. They are a personal reflection on the fragile beauty of the natural world, which is constantly shedding, blooming, and evolving. By layering translucent fabrics with direct heat interventions, I create organic forms with scorched edges and sheer contours that mirror the botanical shapes we encounter on everyday walks in nature.
In my work, these forms become rare relics transformed by memory. Our minds function much the same way—distilling the essence of what we experience outdoors into lasting internal impressions. Through this work, I aim to translate those fleeting moments into tangible forms, inviting you to reflect on the delicate nature of our planet and the quiet endurance of what remains.
Where Fabric Meets Light
Georgeta's experimental textile practice transforms synthetic fabrics through flame. The works can be presented as individual self-lit wall pieces or assembled into multiple panels.
The artwork has 24-hour integrated lighting. The custom illumination is fully controllable, allowing you to keep the lights low to enhance the room's ambiance and evoke a deep sensation of warmth and coziness.
